DAHTM - Silver Banshee


There's very little information on this band, but it appears to be three Maori women playing literally some of the scuzziest doom/crust I've ever heard. It sounds like having an aneurysm while getting crushed to death. The raspy vocals complement the guttural music nicely, as well. I'd compare them to something like a slightly more punk Body Void or Primitive Man. Also, check out that album artwork. DAHTM is not messing around with this EP. If you want to hear something completely sonically punishing, go give them a listen.

A lot of our understandings of decades or generations are deeply filtered through media. So how we represent and remember the 1980s, for example, is as much about how the 80s looked via Blade Runner as it is about actual representations of that decade.
